The Grounds for and the Challenges against the Appearance of Zeidian Movement in Yaman

Imam Hosein`s martyrdom in 61 h. led to some changes in the propaganda of Islamic society on behalf of Shiism. Using social circumstances, political weakness of Abbasids and geographical, social, economic and political opportunities in Yemen, the third Zeidi government of Islamic world was established. This study has focused on the subject, grounds and challenges leading to the appearance of Zeidi government in Yemen during 280-298 h. The activities of Zeidi Imams and their followers caused the government to be the only one Zeidi government of more than one thousand years life. Using the capabilities of the area and Yemeni background in showing tendency to Shiism, they solve the problems and upgraded Yemen to the most important place for Zeidis.
